OPEN CALL: Rings in Water 2024

The “Rings in Water” competition promotes the creation of innovative designer products inspired by traditional craft, fostering a dialogue on preserving traditional values in contemporary craft, applied art, and design. The competition, recognized both nationally and internationally, is open to individuals and groups working with materials such as metal, wood, textile, glass, pottery, and natural materials.

• The deadline for submitting applications is June 30, 2024.

Participants can enter one of three sections:

• Section A for designers, craftsmen, producers, artists, and university students;
• Section B for craftsmen and producers of folk-art products;
• Section C for secondary school students. Entries must be prototypes or products, with competitors allowed to submit up to 5 individual objects or 2 collections.

Prizes, including financial rewards of 500 euros for 1st place, 400 euros for 2nd place, and 300 euros for 3rd place, along with diplomas and non-cash prizes, may be awarded in each section. The jury has the discretion to not award prizes or distribute multiple prizes for certain places.
