Thursday 30 May will see the inauguration of Dal passato al futuro (From past to future), a series of five meetings organised by the Ferragamo Museum and the Ferragamo Foundation in collaboration with Polimoda and Manifattura Tabacchi. The entire cycle will take place from 30 May to 25 May 2024 in the Aula Magna of Polimoda at the Manifattura Tabacchi (Via delle Cascine 35, Florence) and it will also be possible to attend online.
The meetings, which will be held in Italian, are part of the Salvatore Ferragamo 1898-1960 exhibition, dedicated to the history and creations of the founder of the company of the same name, with the aim of sparking an exchange of ideas with the younger generations on the themes addressed during the exhibition project and on the relationship between fashion and contemporaneity.
The first meeting, Giovani talenti (Young talents), will focus on the ways in which young creatives interpret the contemporary world without neglecting their different sensitivities and their passion for design and fashion. The protagonists will be Barbara Franchin (Fondazione ITS – International Talent Support) and Maria Sole Ferragamo (SO-LE Studio) and the dialogue will be moderated by Sara Sozzani Maino (Fondazione Sozzani).
To attend the first meeting in presence, it is necessary to make a reservation by communicating your name to rsvp@torrigiani.com (subject to availability). It will also be possible to participate online by following the live streaming of the meetings on Zoom at the following link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/82579089555
