Deadline for applications is 31 March 2021.
For those of you familiar with Hothouse, Crafting Business is based on this learning framework.
What is different?
- We are providing short bookable advice sessions during the application stage, to help those who struggle with applications.
- There is no fee to apply.
- There is no fee to take part.
- For the first time, we are open to applicants from Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales as well as England.
- We are prioritising business first and craft second in the recruitment.
- We are partnering the Design Trust, where each of our participants will receive a copy of Dream Plan Do.
- Marketing will not be part of the core programme. Marketing is a challenge facing all makers, therefore we are offering this to the wider sector through seminar series this summer.
- Mentoring (1:1 support) will be with the programme lead and a programme trainer of their choice, providing additional support that participants need.
What remains the same for participants?
- Peer to peer support network.
- Gaining valuable business skills through proven training methods.
- Create an all-important business plan.
- Increasing confidence to build and grow a craft business.
- Participants will be profiled through Crafts Council’s networks.
- Becoming part of the Crafts Council Alumni community.
