The RESKILLING CRAFTS project is a European initiative that aims to strengthen the craft sector at a time of major economic, technological, and social change.
According to estimates, by 2035 the European craft sector could see a 13% decrease in workers in the craft sectors, with a potential loss of over 130,000 jobs. At the same time, around 387,000 new positions are expected to open up, mainly linked to generational change and the need to replace workers leaving the labor market.
In this context, RESKILLING CRAFTS aims to offer a concrete response, promoting the inclusion of young people, active artisans or those who want to start a new business, the unemployed and the unoccupied in the labor market through accessible, innovative, and future-oriented training courses. The project aims to promote a more digital, sustainable, and competitive craft sector, in line with the ecological and technological transitions.
One of the main objectives of RESKILLING CRAFTS is the creation of a European Craft Sector Reskilling Alliance, an alliance between public and private actors who collaborate to build training models that can be replicated throughout Europe, through the experimentation of Reskilling Labs, i.e., training laboratories adapted to the needs of the sector. For this reason, Artex invites all professionals in the sector to fill out a short survey designed to gather information on the skills considered essential today for those who want to work in the craft sector of tomorrow.

The survey is available in italian.
The information gathered will be used to design more effective training courses that meet the real needs of the sector and offer new opportunities to adults who wish to acquire craft skills, thus contributing to the renewal and revitalization of the sector.
