Natalia Gama

My name is Natalia Gama García and I am based in Tenerife, Canary Islands. I have been doing art craft for the last 17 years all over Latin, Central and North América as a way of living simple and in contact with m y true self.

My brand is “Las Joyas de La Maga”. I am a jeweller and I work with sterling silver and natural stones. I have always been self-taught; I just put my feelings and heart on the bench and start creating without many thinking.

My aim is to create pieces of art that can live a long journey of adventure and love with the person who chooses. I want to create remainders of who really is that person and encourage them to live freely and happy. I love to make others feel beautiful and loved.

My business objectives are:

I would love to keep on traveling and knowing the world, feeling inspired by nature and architecture to offer different pieces each time. And my artwork has always helped me to do so and to connect with people. So, I don´t really want a big business or incomes, just a way of living that goes hand with hand with my dreams. A way of making this World a little bit more beautiful.

My learnings from the Crafting Business Programme:

I learned so many things!

This programme helped me see some important details of the business that I did not have in mind before, with so many examples and experts in each area of business.

Being and art crafter and a businesswoman was not really so important to me, but with this programme I learnt that there is some basic knowledge that is really important in order to survive and make things really work.

My 5 top tips that I have learnt on this journey:

• It is not easy to start, but once you give the first step with your personal project you will start to feel empowered and strong to keep on walking.
• Ask for help! Nowadays there are so many tools and this one, the Crafting Business Programme is one of the best I have ever attended.
• Dare! Always dare to try, dare to show who you are through art. There is nothing more authentic than this path of love and creation.
• Be different. Find your own way of creation, do not be afraid not to do what others do.
• Enjoy the trip! If you love what you do there will be not a single day you will feel like working!
