MEET THE MAKER

I am a ceramicist specialising in Nerikomi, and I practice based in London. I am in a very early stage of the business where I am developing my products and identifying matching customer expectations on products and pricing. I gradually taught myself pottery techniques and developed this career, out of a need to touch my creations in parallel with my digital design career. In this world I meticulously puzzle and slice patterns made out of coloured clay to make homeware pieces.

WHAT ARE YOUR FEEDBACKS?

I hope to grow my reputation via Instagram followership and placing my products in tastemaking lifestyle stores within the next year. I hope to get my vessels onto more tables in the UK. I learned how to communicate my unique story as an artist, place tangible and intangible value on my artistic persona and creations, and importantly the various aspects to take care of within a business. The Crafting Business Programme brought the most impact for me in the financial module where I learned to use cash flow as a tool to plan different scenarios and to review financial data. Learning this helped me plan my financial year ahead and structure my creative outputs accordingly.
