MEET THE MAKER

I design and manufacture outerwear and accessories on a vertical stretched loom. They are decorated and modeled directly on the frame, once removed from there the pieces are assembled and sometimes lined. The whole procedure is completely manual. The techniques are various but the one used above all for the drawings is that of the tapestry. This is why I like to call my works “TAPESTRIES TO WEAR”. They are unique or limited series pieces aimed at demanding customers with a refined taste who like to have something special and exclusive. I can also make personalized and made-to-measure garments. My garments are timeless, beyond any fashion trend.

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO TAKE PART OF CRAFTING BUSINESS PROGRAMME?

I saw the program and it seemed interesting to me, aimed at artisan-artistic activities like mine, but above all at the possibility of contamination and dialogue with different and innovative disciplines. In this moment, when I no longer have the stressful commitment of the San Gimignano business, I can think of opening myself to the possibility of conceiving my work in a new way and I am curious to find out if there are new opportunities with which to interact. I hope this course can offer me some new ideas.

WHAT ARE YOUR FEEDBACKS?

I found all the lessons very interesting both for the topics covered and for the communication skills and competence of the teachers. I think it was a new experience that I followed with enthusiasm and perseverance.

The boost I got from this overview of meetings was to start entering the world of socials. In fact, I started communicating through Instagram and I must say that I discovered that I enjoy it even if it involves a considerable job that I can afford to do myself, only now that I no longer have the business in San Gimignano, otherwise I would have had to delegate to a person qualified. Let’s see if it will give results.

• I decided to start using Instagram.
• The contacts through which to look for spaces or opportunities to promote my product
• The importance of identifying my typical customer
• To identify more and more of a possibility in the search for the realization of my goals. Never lose sight of the goal I have set myself
• Take advantage of this period of “covid shutdown” to create new products and look for new contacts and opportunities.
