ABOUT ME

I am an experienced textile and surface designer and artist with a strong commercial background across the sectors of both homewares and fashion and accessories. I have worked as a textile de- signer for various brands and design studios including Carolyn Donnelly Eclectic at Dunnes Stores, Born Clothing, Aoife Mullane Design and Whiston and Wright. I have recently founded my own fash- ion and illustration brand, Imprints & Ink.

I am a highly creative individual and my artistic practice has allowed me to develop my hand-draw- ing and painting skills to be a strong commercial asset in creating original print designs. I have gained an excellent knowledge of designing for both screen-printing and digital printing processes through my experience to date. In addition, I have developed expertise in the areas of visual re- search, trend research and digital design through my involvement in creating print designs using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator software from idea generation to fully realised design concepts.

I am also passionate about helping others to develop their own creative skills through education and I love working with young people. I am currently undertaking a Professional Masters of Educa- tion (Art & Design) at the National College of Art and Design.

I have chosen to take part in the iAtelier programme as it offers the opportunity to create collabo- rative work with other designers and craftspeople. I am looking forward to expanding my creative practice as an artist and designer and to both developing my own skills and sharing my expertise with others.
