The Galileo Museum, together with its partners Artex – Centre for the artistic and traditional Tuscan crafts, the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence, the SAGAS Department of the University of Florence, and ISIA Florence Design – Higher Institute for Artistic Industries, presents the results of two PNRR projects dedicated to sustainability in the museum sector: M.A.D.E. (museisostenibili.it) and EcoMuse Lab (ecomuselab.it).
The two projects represent a strategic contribution by five Florentine centres of excellence in the field of artistic and scientific training to the capacity building policies set out in Mission 1 (“Digitalisation, innovation, competitiveness, culture and tourism”), Component 3 (“Culture 4.0”).
The meeting will offer a summary of the achievements and the opportunity to see prototypes of creative and sustainable products, inspired by the Galileo Museum collection and created during the EcoMuseLab capacity building workshops.
The event will be held on December 16, 2025, at the Galileo Museum in Florence. The meeting can be followed online live on the Galileo Museum’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/museogalileofirenze.
